The Twizel Stargazing Experience offers a mesmerising journey into the heart of the Aoraki Mackenzie International Dark Sky Reserve. This guided tour immerses you in one of the world's clearest night skies using high-powered telescopes.

We are a Carbon positive activity!! Meaning we are taking in more carbon carbon dioxide than we produce! We are owned and operated by a local family who are very focused on sustainability, making sure all of our activities are sustainable for the future.

What To Bring

• Make sure you wear enough warm clothes & shoes. Even during summertime the temperature can get cold in Twizel.
• Please do not wear any clothing accessories or shoes that could emit lights.

Additional Information

• You will be able to look at the moon surface with our telescope during Full Moon!
• If you would like to look at the Milky Way with your naked eyes, New Moon would be the best time!
• Always have an extra night just incase the weather is not good, the operator can reschedule you to the next night for free!

Terms And Conditions

Stargazing is subject to weather conditions. Tour photos are complimentary and weather dependent. It will be provided via a digital link 48 hours after the tour. Please wear sturdy footwear & warm clothes.

Cancellation Policy

Reschedule your booking up to 24 hours before the start time of your experience. 100% cancellation fee applies for any changes within 24 hours of your tour. Late arrivals or no shows may result in you forfeiting your ticket.
