Discover Bruny Island's famous food scene and dramatic southern coastline on this full day guided tour from Hobart, including an exclusive visit to the historic Cape Bruny Lighthouse. Your day begins with a ferry crossing from Kettering to Bruny Island, where a beach picnic of fresh oysters, artisan cheese and bread kicks things off in style. Journey through rainforest and mountains to Cape Bruny Lighthouse for an exclusive guided tour up the historic spiral staircase, built by convicts nearly 200 years ago, with panoramic ocean views from the balcony.
After a hearty lunch of local fish, lamb or seafood, the afternoon fills up with tastings at local chocolate, fudge and honey stops, a visit to South Bruny National Park and sweeping 360 degree views from The Neck Lookout. Keep an eye out for white wallabies, echidnas, whales and seabirds along the way. Return hotel transfers and the ferry crossing are all included, making this a genuinely easy and rewarding day out from Hobart.
